Nice little piece about an interesting “collaboration”: Charles Mingus doing music for a blues poem by the great Langston Hughes, with some cool videos featuring Cab Calloway, and, years later, Holly Bass. A nice muse on the blues that grows right from the roots. It takes a minute to load because of the video files, so have patience when you click through.
